Photography Philosophy
I love stories. I work part-time at a podiatry office where I assist the doctors. We see somewhere between 30-40 patients daily. Each one of them has a story. Many of our patients are elderly and sometimes they share their history with me. I love it. I imagine what their lives must have been like and what it is like now. Life is precious.
You have a story. There are many experiences and inner character qualities that mark your life. What do you love? Whom do you love? What makes you , you? Every picture that I take is unique because each one of us are different. My desire, when taking a picture of someone, is to capture some of their story.
I believe everybody deserves to have quality, fun, stylish pictures taken of them. This shouldn't be a privilege for just the ones who can afford it. Pictures are attached to our memories. I treasure the pictures I have of my family, of the ones who have passed away, of who my brothers and I were when we were young, the cute babies my children made and the young man and lady they are becoming. These are moments I cannot get back, but I can relive them when I look at the pictures. My parents lost almost everything in a house fire that happened handful of years ago. Because I had a basket full of pictures at my home, not all of our family pictures were lost. If you ask almost anyone, "What would you save, after loved ones, if your house was on fire?" I've learned that almost everyone would save their pets and their pictures. Pictures are that important to us.
No matter what, I encourage you to take pictures of your loved ones and allow yourself to be photographed in return. You won't regret it. And if I can help with that, great!
It would be an honor.
